With the acquisition of a key stake in Greeniuz, Koolen Industries has incorporated key technology for gasless heating in its portfolio.
Most heating systems for buildings rely on burning of fossil fuels, especially natural gas. In the transition to clean energy, fossil-free heating is of key importance.

Efficient heating with infrared
Greeniuz has developed a heating system consisting of innovative infrared heating panels. With the support of the Dutch governmental bodies RVO, TKI Urban Energy and Eindhoven University of Technology, Greeniuz has shown that these infrared panels are an energy-efficient and comfortable heating solution for heating entire homes without the direct burning of fossil fuels such as gas. The Greeniuz heating system can be implemented in one day, with minimal impact for residents. In addition, the system requires no maintenance and the purchase cost is low compared to other gasless heating solutions.
Engineering and production in the Netherlands
The engineering and production of the panels takes place near Eindhoven, where the head office is located. The current production capacity can easily be scaled up to ten thousand panels per week, with which thousands of homes can be heated in a sustainable way.
Clean energy for everyone
Greeniuz owners Dirk Bellemakers and Pieter Lapré have already equipped more than 1000 projects, mainly homes and offices, with their infrared panels to heat them without burning gas. “By 2030, one and a half million homes in the Netherlands will need to get rid of gas for heating. Our heating system is a smart alternative to existing solutions. The collaboration with Koolen Industries gives us the opportunity to scale up and accelerate the energy transition in the Netherlands.”
