Thermal energy storage. Large-scale, sustainable, and cost-efficient.
Kraftblock is a highly efficient heat storage system that can buffer thermal energy at very high temperatures, designed to decarbonize power generation and industrial processes.
All over the world, an extraordinary amount of energy is wasted in the form of heat, especially in high-temperature industries such as steel working and ceramics. Kraftblock’s thermal energy storage system is designed to combat this large-scale energy waste - capturing excess heat and gasses before they are released and repurposing them for other applications. Kraftblock offers powerful heat energy solutions for various industries:
Steel & Non-ferrous metals
Pulp & Paper
Food, Beverage & Tobacco
Energy & Utility Sector
Glass & Ceramics
Chemical Industry
and more
KRAFTBLOCK & PEPSICO: DECARBONIZING A SNACK
Kraftblock is partnering with Eneco to undertake an ambitious project: decarbonizing the production line of PepsiCo’s Cheetos en Lays crisp ranges at their plant in Broek op Langedijk. The project will see the plant shift its energy source from natural gas to renewable electricity, resulting in an impressive annual reduction of 8,500 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions. This project will play a vital role in decreasing PepsiCo's overall environmental impact.
“Our ultimate vision is that the world will live with a totally sustainable energy system in the future.”
Martin Schichtel, CEO
