By using bromine instead of the less reactive oxygen, the charge and discharge efficiencies of the Elestor solution rise from 60% to 90% (or even higher). Elestor's flow batteries can be charged and discharged up to 15,000 times, at 100% Depth of Discharge (DoD).

Elestor’s storage systems are 100% self-contained, and nothing goes in or out…except electricity!
What makes Elestor's flow batteries so unique is that they use affordable raw materials. Bromine is extracted from seawater, which is very widely available, and is therefore cheap. In addition, flow batteries have an extremely long life. They can be charged and discharged 15,000 times.
